A summer in Singapore
The international project manager and 13 3rd year students from the Fashion Designer program of l’Atelier Chardon Savard Nantes and Paris went to Singapore from the 26th of June to the 12th of July 2017. They took the chance to live the wonderful experience of living abroad!
This school trip had three main goals:
- Attending classes in English at TaF.tc, our partner for two years
- Full immersion into the Asian culture
- Visit a textile factory based in Malaysia, pioneer country in textile production
2 modules de cours à TaF.tc
The students attended 2 different modules at TaF.tc, which is a training center linked to the Textile and Fashion Federation (TaF.f) of Singapore.
Module 1 :
The first module was mainly about calculating cost of materials and apparel from a production aspect.
Module 2 :
The second module taught how to develop apparel product for the Asian market, which gave the chance to our students to immerse themselves into the Asian fashion industry, enhance their knowledge as well as their creativity.
